BMW EV sales

In 2025, BMW Group made a notable achievement by selling one in four vehicles in Europe as fully electric. This impressive milestone underscores the company’s increasing dominance in the electric vehicle (EV) market and its ongoing efforts to create a more sustainable automotive future.

BMW’s Growing Market Share in Europe

The electric vehicle segment has seen remarkable growth for BMW in Europe. With the company’s focus on electrification, it achieved a 25% market share for fully electric vehicles, including its MINI and Rolls-Royce electric models. When combining electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle sales, BMW Group’s total share of electrified vehicles rose to over 40%.

The success of models like the BMW iX5 and the upcoming iX4, alongside the popularity of other EV offerings, has propelled BMW to the forefront of the EV revolution. The shift toward electric mobility is part of a larger global trend to reduce carbon emissions and promote greener transportation alternatives.

Expanding BMW’s Electrified Lineup

BMW EV sales,BMW’s commitment to sustainability continues to bear fruit. In 2025, the company experienced a 7.3% increase in total sales across Europe, with German sales rising by 8.7%. This increase reflects the growing demand for BMW’s electrified vehicles, particularly as the company continues to roll out new electric and plug-in hybrid models.

Looking ahead, BMW plans to introduce new models in 2026, including fully electric versions of the 3 Series and X5. With these new additions, the company aims to accelerate its shift toward a fully electric fleet and continue its strong performance in Europe’s EV market.

BMW’s Ambitious 2030 Goals and Global Plans

As part of its long-term vision, BMW is targeting a 50% share of cars without combustion engines by 2030. With the success of the iX3, i1, i2, and other models, the company is on track to meet these goals and increase its overall market share. However, BMW continues to advocate for maintaining combustion engines alongside electric vehicles, pushing back against calls for an immediate ban on gas-powered cars in Europe.

By continuing to expand its EV lineup and improve sustainability across its product offerings, BMW is set to remain a key player in the electric vehicle industry. The brand’s future is bright, and its commitment to electrification ensures that BMW will remain a driving force in the global automotive market.

BMW’s Role in the Electric Future

With its record-breaking EV sales in 2025, BMW Group is poised to continue leading the charge in the electric vehicle market. As the company accelerates its electrification efforts, it is positioning itself as a dominant force in the future of sustainable transportation, solidifying its commitment to a greener and more eco-friendly automotive landscape.
