13-inch Color E-Paper

Samsung has unveiled the world’s first 13-inch Color E-Paper, designed to offer businesses a sustainable, energy-efficient alternative to traditional printed signage. This innovative display is built with a bio-resin derived from phytoplankton, making it a pioneering step in the push for eco-friendly technology in the commercial display industry. With ultra-low power consumption and a paper-thin design, the Samsung Color E-Paper is perfect for businesses looking to transition from paper signage to digital solutions.

Sustainability Meets Innovation

Samsung’s 13-inch Color E-Paper goes beyond providing a digital alternative to printed materials. It is the first display of its kind to feature a bio-resin housing made from 45% recycled plastic and 10% phytoplankton-based bio-resin, reducing carbon emissions during the manufacturing process by over 40%. The use of this environmentally friendly material is a significant achievement in sustainability, and Samsung is committed to making its products as green as possible. The packaging of the display is also fully recyclable, made entirely from paper.

Paper-Like Visuals with Low Energy Use

The 13-inch Color E-Paper offers a paper-like display experience with vibrant color and sharp clarity, making it ideal for applications such as retail signage, product displays, and office environments. Despite its advanced color imaging capabilities, the display consumes minimal energy, keeping operational costs low. It can maintain static images without using any power and only draws energy when updating content, offering a highly efficient alternative to traditional digital signage solutions.

Flexible and Easy to Install

Designed for versatility, the Samsung Color E-Paper is easy to install and reposition. It features a rechargeable embedded battery and supports USB Type-C for convenient charging. With its ultra-slim 17.9mm profile and lightweight design (weighing just 0.9kg), the display can be easily placed on counters, shelves, or doors, providing businesses with a compact, flexible digital signage solution. It also includes multiple mounting options to fit various display setups.

Enhanced Content Management with Samsung E-Paper App

Samsung makes it easy to manage content with the Samsung E-Paper App, available for both Android and iOS. The app allows users to update and control the content on the display from their mobile devices, eliminating the need for a remote control. For businesses with multiple displays, Samsung VXT, a cloud-based content management platform, provides an added layer of convenience. It allows teams to remotely manage settings, deploy content, and optimize display performance, all from one centralized platform.

The Future of Digital Signage

This 13-inch Color E-Paper model is part of Samsung’s expanding lineup, which includes larger models like the 20-inch variant. These products are expected to reshape the way businesses approach digital signage, offering a more sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional printed materials. Samsung’s innovations in this area demonstrate the company’s commitment to advancing both display technology and environmental sustainability.

Samsung’s 13-inch Color E-Paper sets a new standard for eco-friendly digital signage. With its innovative bio-resin housing, ultra-low energy use, and flexible features, it offers businesses a practical solution for modern communication needs while minimizing environmental impact. As the display market continues to evolve, Samsung’s Color E-Paper will likely play a key role in driving the adoption of greener technologies in the commercial sector.
