The tool, which was launched last year, tags fully AI-generated music to help listeners identify it, and importantly, removes such tracks from Deezer’s algorithmic and editorial recommendations.
This move comes at a time when the music industry is facing growing concerns over AI-generated content being used to manipulate streaming systems. Deezer’s tool is designed not only to flag AI tracks but also to exclude them from monetization and the royalty pool, ensuring that artists receive fair compensation for their work.

The platform now receives 60,000 AI-generated tracks daily, a dramatic increase from the 20,000 tracks it was receiving just last year. What’s even more concerning is that 85% of these tracks are deemed fraudulent, representing a significant threat to the integrity of music streaming services.
