Midea has unveiled its Horizon M5 Air Conditioner, featuring cutting-edge technology including HarmonyOS support and the Huawei HiSilicon chip. This launch marks a significant advancement in the integration of smart home systems, as the air conditioner brings powerful features designed to enhance both performance and user convenience.
Innovative Features of the Midea Horizon M5 AC
The Midea Horizon M5 AC stands out with its wide wave engine air duct, which enables 180-degree 3D circulation airflow, ensuring that air reaches all corners of the room. With a 9-meter long-distance air delivery and 10 shell-shaped air-expanding louvers, the AC creates a natural wind that extends up to 150 degrees, making the environment feel comfortable and even more enjoyable.
Additionally, the Coanda airflow feature directs airflow from the top, making it ideal for both cooling and heating. This AC unit is also part of the open-source HarmonyOS ecosystem, meaning users can integrate it with other smart devices in their homes, including voice control and central screen systems. It even allows for pre-conditioning of the room via a connected vehicle, so users can arrive to a perfectly cooled or heated space.
Powered by Huawei HiSilicon AI Technology
The Midea Horizon M5 AC comes equipped with Huawei’s HiSilicon AI inverter chip, providing a remarkable 700% increase in computing power and faster response times. The chip enables AI smart air control, allowing the AC to automatically adjust settings based on environmental conditions and user preferences for optimal efficiency.
Energy Efficiency and Performance Upgrades of the Midea Horizon M5 AC
Midea has made several upgrades to improve the unit’s performance and energy efficiency. These include a longer 22mm evaporator, increased air duct length by 73mm, and a larger fan diameter of 7.6mm compared to the previous model. The copper pipe length has also been extended by 2010mm, further enhancing the unit’s overall performance.
In terms of energy efficiency, the Horizon M5 AC boasts a Level 1 energy efficiency rating and features a one-button power-saving mode, which promises up to 25% more electricity efficiency compared to the previous version.
HarmonyOS Certification
The Midea Horizon M5 AC has already received HarmonyOS certification with model number KFR-35G/M5, confirming its compatibility with the latest version of the open-source HarmonyOS 5.0.3. This marks another step towards Huawei’s vision of creating a more interconnected and intelligent ecosystem of smart devices.
With its innovative technology, improved energy efficiency, and integration with the HarmonyOS ecosystem, the Midea Horizon M5 AC represents the future of smart, efficient climate control. Powered by Huawei HiSilicon and offering advanced AI features, this air conditioner is set to redefine how we interact with our home appliances, ensuring both comfort and sustainability.
