One UI 8.5

Samsung has officially closed its One UI 8.5 beta program to new participants, marking a key milestone in the testing phase for its upcoming software update. Initially launched for Galaxy S25 users in South Korea, the program is now in its final stages, with no new testers being accepted.

Ongoing Testing for Galaxy S25 Users

Although new registrations are closed, the beta program continues for existing testers. Samsung is expected to release a fourth beta version for the Galaxy S25 series, as the company fine-tunes One UI 8.5 for its next flagship, the Galaxy S26. The new update is set to be officially launched alongside the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026.

What to Expect from One UI 8.5

One UI 8.5 brings several exciting enhancements, including a new floating tab bar, improved reachability for buttons and apps, and more advanced on-device AI photo editing. Users will also enjoy more customization options via the new QuickStar GoodLock module, allowing for personalized Quick Settings toggles.

While the update may not bring major changes, the quality-of-life improvements, especially in customization, are expected to appeal to many users. The focus remains on refining the user interface and improving the overall experience.

A Sneak Peek at the Galaxy S26

With the Galaxy S26 series set for release soon, One UI 8.5 will debut alongside Samsung’s latest flagship phones. Rumors suggest the S26 will offer improvements in battery life, charging speed, and camera capabilities, while also supporting Qi2 wireless charging.

As Samsung gears up for the launch of One UI 8.5, users can look forward to a more refined software experience, with enhancements in both functionality and personalization. The software update, along with the Galaxy S26, promises to deliver a sleek and upgraded Android experience.
