Plenitude EV charging

The Plenitude EV charging project is accelerating the expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure in Spain. As demand for clean mobility grows, companies are investing heavily in high-speed charging networks to support drivers across major transport routes.

Plenitude, part of the Italian energy group Eni, has announced plans to install dozens of ultrafast charging points in northwestern Spain.

Plenitude EV charging targets key motorway

The EV charging rollout will focus on the AP-9 motorway in the Galicia region. This route is one of the most important transport corridors in the area, making it a strategic location for EV infrastructure.

Through its subsidiary, the company will deploy charging stations across multiple service areas along the motorway. These locations include major stops used by both local and long-distance drivers.

The goal is to create a continuous charging corridor that supports seamless electric travel.

Plenitude EV charging brings ultrafast technology

The Plenitude charging network will feature high-powered stations capable of delivering between 160kW and 300kW. This allows vehicles to recharge quickly, reducing waiting times for drivers.

Some stations will also include dedicated charging points for electric trucks, supporting the growing shift toward electrified logistics.

By offering fast and reliable charging, the project aims to improve the overall EV driving experience.

Plenitude EV charging backed by partnerships

The EV charging initiative is being developed in collaboration with Autopistas del Atlántico. This partnership ensures that the charging network is integrated into existing motorway infrastructure.

In addition, another operator, Atlante, will install additional chargepoints in other service areas, expanding the overall coverage.

Together, these collaborations are helping to accelerate infrastructure development across the region.

Plenitude EV charging supports regional mobility

The EV charging project is expected to provide a charging point approximately every 36 kilometers along the motorway. This spacing ensures that drivers can travel with confidence without worrying about range limitations.

The network will also be powered in line with broader sustainability goals, supporting the transition to cleaner energy systems.

As more drivers switch to electric vehicles, reliable infrastructure becomes essential for adoption.

Plenitude EV charging and future outlook

The EV charging rollout is part of a wider strategy to expand ultrafast charging networks across Europe. The company already operates thousands of charging points and continues to invest in new locations.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, with installations progressing in phases depending on regulatory approvals.

Ultimately, the Plenitude charging initiative highlights the growing importance of infrastructure in the transition to electric mobility, ensuring that EV adoption continues to gain momentum.
