A New Era in Digital Signage

The Samsung Color E-Paper utilizes advanced digital ink technology to provide a paper-like display with vibrant colors and clarity. Designed for applications in environments such as shelves, counters, and doors, this compact display offers a high-resolution 1,600 x 1,200 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to an A4-sized piece of paper. The ultra-thin design, at just 17.9mm thick and weighing only 0.9kg with its rechargeable battery, makes it ideal for flexible installations.

Built for Sustainability: Phytoplankton-Based Bio-Resin

Samsung has taken a significant step towards sustainability with the Color E-Paper’s housing, which uses a bio-resin derived from phytoplankton. This material, independently verified by UL, consists of 45% recycled plastic and 10% phytoplankton-based bio-resin, significantly reducing carbon emissions in the manufacturing process by over 40%. The packaging is also eco-friendly, made from 100% paper, making this display a fully sustainable solution from start to finish.

Unmatched Energy Efficiency

One of the standout features of the Samsung Color E-Paper is its incredible energy efficiency. The display consumes zero watts of power when displaying static images, which helps businesses cut down on energy costs. Even when content is updated, the energy usage remains significantly lower than that of traditional digital signage systems, which require constant power.

Easy Content Management with Samsung E-Paper App and VXT

Managing content on the Samsung Color E-Paper has never been easier. The Samsung E-Paper App, available for both Android and iOS, allows businesses to update and control content directly from their devices. Additionally, Samsung’s cloud-based VXT platform offers remote device management, allowing for seamless content updates, hardware settings control, and troubleshooting with minimal training required.

Expanding the Lineup

The introduction of the 13-inch model marks an exciting expansion for Samsung’s Color E-Paper lineup, which already includes a 32-inch model. At the ISE 2026 conference in Barcelona, Samsung unveiled a new 20-inch model, providing even more options for businesses in need of versatile digital signage solutions.

The Future of Digital Displays

Samsung’s Color E-Paper offers businesses the perfect solution to replace traditional paper signage with an eco-friendly, high-performance digital alternative. With its low power usage, sustainable materials, and ease of management, this product is poised to revolutionize the digital signage market, meeting both environmental goals and operational efficiency.
