Samsung Galaxy S26 specs

As we approach the official unveiling of Samsung’s next flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, leaks are coming fast and furious. Expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, possibly in February 2026, the Galaxy S26 is shaping up to be an exciting release. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about the Galaxy S26, including its specs, colors, and potential release date.

Specs of the Galaxy S26 Series

The Galaxy S26 series will likely include three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Leaks suggest that the series will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is rebranded as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Additionally, there’s a possibility that some models will come with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset.

In terms of RAM, the Galaxy S26 series is rumored to sport 16GB of RAM across all models, a significant jump from previous years, and one that should improve multitasking and overall performance.

As for storage, the base Galaxy S26 is expected to come with 128GB, while the Ultra model will likely feature 256GB storage, with the option for higher capacities. Samsung’s latest rumors suggest that storage capacities will remain similar to previous years.

Color Options for the Galaxy S26 Series

According to leaks from prominent sources like Evan Blass, the Galaxy S26 series will come in a variety of colors, including:

  • Black
  • White
  • Silver Shadow
  • Sky Blue
  • Cobalt Violet
  • Pink Gold

While the colors aren’t too surprising, it’s clear Samsung is sticking with a similar palette seen in previous models, offering something for every user.

Changes to the Galaxy S26 Design

Leaks have also revealed some key design details. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may have a camera bump similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, though this could cause the phone to wobble when placed on a flat surface. The design of the phone is expected to be very similar to the previous Galaxy S25 Ultra, with only minor tweaks.

Battery and Charging Expectations

Battery size and charging speed are always crucial aspects, and the Galaxy S26 series may see some important changes. The S26 Ultra could come with a 5,500mAh battery, a 10% increase over the previous generation, while the base Galaxy S26 might have a smaller 4,300mAh cell.

In terms of charging, rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26 will support 45W wired charging, though there are expectations that a jump to 60W charging could be in the cards for future models. For wireless charging, the Galaxy S26 may support the Qi2 standard.

Camera Features: What to Expect

As for the camera, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature a 200MP main camera on the Ultra variant, with some models likely including a new sensor from Samsung’s ISOCELL GN series. Additionally, rumors suggest that the S26 may return to offering a variable aperture, a feature last seen on the Galaxy S10.

What’s New in the Galaxy S26?

One of the most exciting new features is the rumored “Privacy Display” mode, which would frosted out the display to protect sensitive information from prying eyes. This feature would be integrated into the One UI 8.5 and would provide another layer of security for users.

Release Date and Pricing

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026, with pre-orders likely starting shortly after. As for the price, there are concerns that the ongoing memory shortage could cause the S26 to be more expensive than previous models. While Samsung has yet to announce final pricing, reports indicate that the S26 may be priced similarly to last year’s models, but with some possible adjustments due to increased memory costs.

The Galaxy S26 series is shaping up to be an exciting release, with improved performance, new features, and a sleek design. While we still have a few weeks until the official announcement, these leaks give us a good idea of what to expect when Samsung unveils its next flagship. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch date.
