Samsung TV Plus, the brand’s free, ad-supported video streaming service, has reached a groundbreaking milestone, surpassing 100 million monthly active users globally. This impressive achievement cements Samsung TV Plus as one of the most widely used video streaming apps in the world today.

Record Growth and Expanded Content

The growth of Samsung TV Plus in 2025 has been phenomenal, with cumulative viewing hours rising by 25% compared to the previous year. This surge is attributed to an expanding range of TV channels, increased video-on-demand and live programming, and strategic partnerships with major creators and publishers. Notably, the service launched sports-focused channels, featuring content from major leagues such as the MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL.

Interactive and Live Event Innovation

A standout moment in Samsung TV Plus’s 2025 success was the livestream of The Jonas Brothers’ concert series, JONAS 20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. What set this event apart was its interactive features, allowing viewers to vote for their favorite song using their Samsung TV remote. The winning track was then performed live on stage, giving fans an engaging, personalized experience.

Celebrity Creators and Partnerships

In addition to its live events, Samsung TV Plus has also expanded its content library with popular independent creators. Collaborations with figures such as Dhar Mann, Mark Rober, Michelle Khare, and Smosh introduced dedicated channels on the platform, broadening its appeal. Furthermore, partnerships with Spotify and David Letterman have brought video podcasts to Samsung TVs and other supported devices.

Expanding Global Reach

Samsung TV Plus’s growth is not just in content but also in its availability. The service now offers more than 4,300 channels across 30 countries. Beyond Samsung TVs, the service is available on Galaxy smartphones, tablets, XR headsets, Smart Monitors, and even Family Hub refrigerators, making it accessible on a wide array of devices.

The Road Ahead for Samsung TV Plus

Salek Brodsky, Senior Vice President at Samsung TV Plus, commented on the milestone, stating, “Our focus remains on delivering premium, authentic experiences that connect audiences around the world. Surpassing 100 million monthly active users is an extraordinary milestone and reflects the trust viewers place in Samsung TV Plus.”

Looking ahead, Samsung TV Plus is poised to continue its upward trajectory, providing exceptional entertainment and expanding its audience with innovative content and features. With interactive moments, live events, and an ever-growing library of content, Samsung TV Plus is becoming a streaming force to be reckoned with.
