BLAST Polymarket partnership

BLAST, a prominent esports tournament organizer, has teamed up with Polymarket, a cryptocurrency-based prediction platform, to bring prediction markets to Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 competitions in 2026. This strategic partnership will enhance fan engagement by allowing players to make predictions on match outcomes and event details, offering both entertainment and a deeper connection to the competition.

The collaboration kicks off at BLAST Slam VI for Dota 2, which will take place in Malta from February 13th to 15th, 2026. This will be the first opportunity for fans to interact with the Polymarket Fancam and new streaming booths, where creators and streamers will join in the live event. The prediction market will be integrated into BLAST’s broadcasts, with segments showcasing Polymarket’s betting platforms and markets.

Revolutionizing Fan Engagement Through Prediction Markets

This partnership highlights the growing interest in prediction markets, which offer fans a more transparent and community-driven way to engage with esports. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, Polymarket’s approach allows fans to actively participate and influence the outcome by using their knowledge of teams, players, and matches.

Polymarket’s CMO, Matthew Modabber, emphasized that this collaboration with BLAST opens the door to new engagement opportunities and positions prediction markets as a key part of esports viewing. With this partnership, the platform is set to become a major player in the esports industry, allowing fans to get involved in a unique and interactive way.

Upcoming Events: BLAST Slam VI and BLAST Open Rotterdam

The first major activation of the BLAST Polymarket partnership will be seen at BLAST Slam VI, featuring six Dota 2 teams competing for a share of the $1 million prize pool. The event will take place at the BLAST studio in Malta, followed by the BLAST Open Rotterdam event in March 2026, where 18 Counter-Strike 2 teams will vie for a portion of the $400,000 prize pool. These events will serve as key milestones for both Polymarket and BLAST as they continue to shape the future of esports fan interaction.
