XReal 1S AR glasses are arriving just in time for CES 2026, bringing meaningful upgrades and a notable price drop. The new model refreshes XReal’s augmented reality lineup with improved visuals, a wider virtual screen, and a lower entry cost, making immersive AR more accessible to a broader audience.
Following the debut of the XReal One Pro at CES 2025, the XReal 1S positions itself as a more affordable yet capable option, while still delivering premium spatial features.
XReal 1S AR brings larger and sharper visuals
XReal 1S AR glasses introduce a significantly larger virtual display compared to earlier models. The perceived screen size now stretches up to 500 inches, a major jump from the 147-inch display offered by the original XReal One.
Resolution also sees an upgrade. The XReal 1S delivers 1200p HD visuals, improving clarity over the 1080p resolution found on both the XReal One and One Pro. This enhancement targets gamers and video viewers looking for sharper image quality.
Wider field of view improves immersion
The XReal 1S AR model expands the field of view to 52 degrees. While this does not surpass the 57-degree field of view on the XReal One Pro, it is still an improvement over the standard XReal One.
This wider viewing angle enhances immersion when watching movies, playing games, or using productivity apps in AR environments.
Brightness and spatial tracking remain strong
XReal glasses reach a perceived brightness of up to 700 nits, matching the One Pro and exceeding the original One. This makes the display more usable in brighter environments.
Like other XReal models, the 1S supports native three degrees of freedom spatial anchoring. This allows the virtual screen to stay fixed in place, creating a stable viewing experience rather than one that moves with the user’s head.
Design updates and new color option
The XReal glasses introduce a fresh cobalt blue color, setting them apart from the black finish used on previous models. The glasses retain electrochromatic dimming, a USB-C connection, and are powered by XReal’s X1 chip.
These features ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices while maintaining a lightweight and wearable form factor.
Price drop makes XReal more accessible
One of the biggest changes with the XReal 1S AR launch is pricing. The glasses are available for $449, which is $50 less than the XReal One and $200 cheaper than the XReal One Pro.
The lower price point positions the XReal 1S as a strong value option for users interested in AR without paying flagship-level prices.
Availability and CES 2026 timing
XReal 1S AR glasses are available to order now through the XReal website and Amazon. Their arrival ahead of CES 2026 places XReal in a strong position as interest in wearable and spatial computing continues to grow.
As CES 2026 unfolds, the XReal 1S AR stands out as a refined upgrade that balances performance improvements with a more approachable price.
