Dubai MICE growth continues to accelerate as the emirate reinforces its global leadership in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. The city showcased its expanding capabilities at IBTM World 2025 in Barcelona, earning strong interest from international event organisers and industry partners. This momentum highlights Dubai’s strategy to attract more global gatherings and elevate its position as a hub for high-impact business events.
Dubai MICE Growth Backed by International Rankings
Dubai recorded an impressive run of accolades throughout the year. ICCA ranked the city first worldwide for highest attendance per association meeting. It also placed Dubai first in the Middle East and Africa for the total number of association events hosted. Cvent recognised the emirate as the top meetings destination in the region. These consistent rankings demonstrate Dubai’s strength in scale, infrastructure, and event delivery. At IBTM World 2025, Dubai Business Events showcased the depth of its offerings with 32 partners. They included hotels, major venues, destination management companies, global brands, and institutions such as Emirates, Expo City Dubai, Coca Cola Arena, and Dubai World Trade Centre. The strong delegation underlined Dubai’s readiness to host events of every size.
Dubai MICE Growth Reflected in Event Bids and Tourism Demand
Dubai secured 249 successful bids for upcoming global events scheduled through 2029. This marked a 29 percent year-on-year increase. These gatherings are expected to bring more than 127,000 delegates, supported by higher bid conversion and an expanding ambassador network under the Al Safeer Congress Ambassador Programme. Tourism demand also strengthened. Dubai International Airport processed 70.1 million passengers in the first nine months of 2025. This maintained its position as the world’s busiest international airport for the 11th consecutive year. The city recorded 13.95 million overnight visitors during the same period, indicating rising international interest.
Dubai MICE Growth Supported by New Infrastructure
Dubai is preparing for even greater growth with major infrastructure investments. The Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai is undergoing a $2.7 billion expansion that will add 140,000 square metres of new event space. Broader city upgrades and airport improvements align with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to boost economic competitiveness and global engagement. These initiatives support Dubai’s long-term vision to host more high-profile events and offer an enhanced experience for delegates from around the world.
